Educational Improvement Tax Credit Provides Avenue For Businesses To Support DC
Did you know that Pennsylvania businesses can support education through the state’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit program?! The EITC authorizes the award of tax credits to businesses that make contributions to scholarship organizations and/or educational improvement organizations. The program is administered by the State of Pennsylvania. By utilizing the EITC program, the business community can be directly involved with education instead of just sending tax dollars to Harrisburg. The monies are directed through the application process and can be designated for the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and specifically to DC. The tax credits are for students and families who need tuition assistance.

Entities eligible to apply for Educational Improvement Tax Credits are businesses authorized to do business in the Commonwealth that are subject to the following taxes. Corporate Net Income Tax, Capital Stock Franchise Tax, Bank and Trust Company Shares Tax, Title Insurance Companies Share Tax, Insurance Premiums Tax, or Mutual Thrift Institutions Tax.

For further information or to discuss and answer any questions you have, please contact Russ Nixon at rnixon@dccs.org or by calling 610.353.6522, ext. 2208. Thank you for considering this benefit tax credit that will help your business and DC.
